FAT MAN, THIN MAN, FATTER MAN...GOOD GRIEF!! I have been "overweight" or whatever other descriptive you care to use to call me fat, most all of my life with occasional spurts of weight loss. I've been up and down the scale several times, (mostly up) and have gained and lost over 300+ pounds in my life. However, I've begun to see myself as more than just a "fat" person...it gets easier to take on a different outlook when one doesn't fight for every breath, or have joints scream in pain every time you move. NINE POUNDS OF FOOD!

A SIGN IN FRONT OF THE SAPP BROS. TRUCK STOP NEAR NEBRASKA CITY, NE.

We took our daughter's belongings back to college this last weekend and stopped for a short rest at the Sapp Bros. Truck Stop.  This sign was on display in front of the restaurant.

I assume this is a gimmick to get people talking about the restaurant.

In my mind it would be an impossible amount of food (they say 9 pounds!) to consume.  If I'd have thought about it I would have went inside the cafe to ask someone if anyone ever tried to down this in one sitting.

I don't doubt someone might be foolish enough (or inebriated enough) to try, but even at my very worst, it would have been impossible for me to accomplish this even if I had wanted too and of course being a rational human being I wouldn't.

Let's just hope the paramedics are called to be on standby if anyone does ever attempt it!
